Obelisk - The ASSEMBLY..♪

Finally, the day for assembling our obelisk has reached. Unfortunately, there wasn't any bus services in USM on that day because of the Convex. Hence, we were suppose to carry all the parts of our obelisk from our hostel to the School of HBP and it was true that, all my members were suffering in the whole morning:
At the early morning, we divided our works into 3 parts:
  1. Zling and Min were going to Bukit Jambu took the white cloth
  2. Kah Fai was taking the 2nd part of our obelisk and other materials to our site
  3. K.L and I were carrying the heaviest part, basement of the obelisk
Wow, until now, I'm still wondering how could I able to carry the heaviest part with K.L. from my hostel, Desa Aman to the school of HBP! Just both of us! and it took us 1 hour journey!! Well, the weight of that part is totally over 5kg~~ When I was carrying it down from my room, I was almost fainted! I believe that, both of our hands almost get CACAT. But, during the journey to the school of HBP, there was our coursemate who helped me to carry it, thank you my friend ^^"

Around 9am, our lecturer Encik Wan B has given us a short briefing about our site. He told us how we need to do and we must register our obelisk before starting our assembly.

After briefing, we were going to the Dataran Merah and registered our obelisk. Luckily, the process of registering didn't take us a lot of time:

Well, after registering, we started to carry our obelisk to our site. Here we go!!! Heavy~~~~:

Finally, we have reached our site, SITE 16:

We started to construct our obelisk part by part. First at all, Zling and I were going to fill up all the botols with waters. The reason that we fill the botols with waters was to make sure that the basement was stable enough and able to support the whole obelisk which was 3meter height.

Next, we started to construct the other parts. All of us were putting 100% effort on the construction of the obelisk. Well, we used nuts to connect each of the part together:

Finally, we covered our obelisk with the white cloth. Hence, we have successed!!! Our obelisk has done!! Hurray~~

Obelisk - The Making Process..♪

After submitting our proposal for the obelisk, don't ever try to think that we can have rest! Well, our next mission was to build up the obelisk. Wow, how to build up a 3meter height obelisk??! This was the question which I've being headache for awhile. Before starting the construction, 5 of us had a meeting again. All of us were trying to find the most suitable way to construct our obelisk which is stable and sustainable. Hence, PVC paips were our choice which were used to build up the main structure of the obelisk. Here're the other materials which we used during the construction:

Hence, by using the materials above, 5 of us had constructed d structure of the obelisk, part by part. Yes, we had divided our obelisk into 3 main parts:

1st part (the cubic):

2nd and 3rd part:It was not as easy as we thought for building up the structure. Besides taping with tape, we were using screws and nuts to construct it. After constructing the structure, we used the white mounting board to cover it as our obelisk must be in solid white. Firstly, we measured again the weight and the lenght of the structure, therefore we were able to cut the mounting board to pieces. The process of cutting was very tough. Besides, we need to stick the board onto the structure. White glue and hot glue were our tools to stick the board to the structure. Well, this was our product with mounting board:
We had used 4 days to finish our obelisk. On the last night, we have done the rehearsal so we can estimate the time to assemble our obelisk in 20 minutes, and yet, we have succeed!!!:

Obelisk - The Birth of EL-MOTION STUDIO..♪

This was our 2nd assignment for RAG132. Our mission or intention for this assignment was to design an obelisk strcuture which was 3 meter height and the cubic base was 50cm x 50cm. Hence, 5 of us who were the members in EL-Motion discussed and planned our work together in McDonald and Bali-Bali Restaurant. After the disscussion, our group did have our own company and name card. Well, both of them were our product.

Why was our company called as EL-MOTION STUDIO? Well, EL stands for ELASTIC, and it meant that 5 of us did have the biggest intention to do our project while the intention has became our motion. No matter how tough it is, we still can able to finish it, just like an elastic ball which can bound anywhere until it stop.

This is our name card for our company.

During the process, all of us have given the best effort on the project.
After the meeting, all of us celebrated for the birth of EL-MOTION which was created on 25 July 2009. We won't forget the moment about that.

Here's some photoes which we took during our working time:

We were concentrating on our project by using PhotoImpact.

Relax awhile~~ tiring for whole afternoon~~

Finally~~ Haha, we have finished our job around 9pm something. Hence, we were celebrating in the restaurant~ My stomach was very satisfied with the food at that night ^^

Production Model..♪

Date: 08 July 2009
Time: 1000~1250
Location: DK H

At first, I wasn't understand what is the meaning of RAG132 until i stepped into the RAG132 lecturer class. After the lecturer began, Encik Wan Burhanuddin bin Wan Abidin asked us a question, "What is meant by RAG132??" and finally, I realised that RAG132 is about Built Environment and Human Settlement.

Hence, what is the meaning of Built Environment? The explanation from Wikipedia, Built Environment refers to all the setting for human activity which is provided by the man-made surroundings on different scales .

What is the meaning of Human Settlement? From www.unescap.org/huset/whatis.htm, human settlements means the human community, such as city, town and all the housing area which does includes all the organizational, social, material, spiritual and cultural elements.

Yet, due to this lecturer, I learned that, all of us no matter who we are MUST obey to our own professional disciplines and sensitive to the issues in the build environment.

Meanwhile, the 6 element of production play the important role on it:

We cant deny that, these 6 elements are "siblings". They do have a strong relationship between them. For example:

In the model of production, ACTOR can be meant by an individual or a institution, who do have the INTENTION with full of objectives or even dreams, but intention can be explicit or implicit, constructive or destructive, good or bad and so on.. Hence, what will they ACT? For an architect, he/she will draws, designs or either do something else in negatively way by following some RULES either is in the correct way or incorrect form. After finish doing, the PRODUCT will be produced at the end which will be related to the environment. Meanwhile, the SITE is on the face of the earth.

Here's the explanation for the production of my own construction (the blog of RAG321):

Firstly, I'm the actor, after the 1st class of RAG132, Encik Wan Burhanuddin bin Wan Abidin told us to do another assignment which was to build our new own website. Hence, I have the intention to make the website by myself and make it as beautiful as possible. Then, I started to create an account in Blogspot and designed it by browsing the Internet and finding some related photos and templates. By the way, I need to agree and obey to the terms and conditions. Within 1 day, my web page was perfectly done! The web page was my virtual product which just can see but we can't touch by using the monitor.

I would like to attach the flowchart due to my explanation above:
